Dr. Warth will be speaking about the history of Japanese textiles and
costume at a Benefit for the Clovis Japanese Cultural School. The Benefit
will be presented by Your Home Interiors at 668 N. Blackstone in Fresno,
California.
Dr. Warth will provide a rare opportunity to the residents of
the San Joaquin Valley to view an exhibition of Japanese Fine Art
including antique, one of a kind, museum quality treasures. She will
discuss the history of Japanese textiles and costume, including the lost
techniques of hand weaving, hand painting, and the use of precious metals
such as gold, silver and platinum, as well as the important symbolism of
the designs and their significance to the Japanese culture.
